Hello,
This was a good
week.
First, it started with U.S.
President George Bush giving a great speech, asking for
the removal of the Palestinian Authority and Yasser Arafat (see
"Bush calls for a new Palestinian leadership"). The main reason given is
overwhelming proof that Arafat and his thugs are involved in
countless acts of terror, and they support terrorist groups like the
Islamic Jihad and Hamas in their killings of unarmed Israeli
civilians.
There's also a report that the Palestinian
Authority has personally transfered $20,000 to the Al-Aksa brigades,
a terrorist group that directly reports to Arafat. The Al-Aksa
brigades are responsible for dozens of genocide bombings.
You might note that I have decided to use the
term "genocide bombing" instead of "homicide" or "suicide" to
describe the barbaric Palestinian attacks on unarmed civilians. It
is clear that the Islamic Jihad (holy war), the Hamas, and Arafat's
other terrorist groups such as Al-Aksa brigades have one goal: to
destroy Israel and commit genocide against Israelis. Today, the
explosives these barbaric Palestinians carry can only kill a few
dozen Israelis at a time. But given the occasion, I am convinced
Arafat and his thugs would not hesitate in killing as much Israelis
as possible - genocide is what they are all about
The week ended with Brazil beating Germany 2 - 0
in the soccer World Cup finals becoming the only country to have won
it five times! I know this has nothing to do with Israel
or the Middle East, but I was born in Brazil, and I had to mention
it. ;-)

Israel has an electoral
system based on country-wide proportional representation. For the
purpose of elections Israel is a single voting area, and the number
of seats each party receives in the Knesset is determined on the
basis of its proportion of the total vote. The only limitation is
the 1.5% qualifying threshold, by which a party
must receive at least 1.5% of the vote
to be elected. According to this system, the voters elect a party
slate and not a particular candidate.

On
March 31st 2002, Orly Ofir, 16, of Haifa was one of 14 people killed in a suicide bombing in Haifa,
in the Matza restaurant of the gas station near the Grand Canyon shopping mall.

Palestinian genocide bomber
Just after 2:30 PM on Sunday
afternoon, during the Passover holiday, the terrorist entered the
popular Matza restaurant in the Neve Sha'anan district near the
Grand Canyon mall. The explosion
tore the roof off the one-story building, and blew out the windows, instantly killing 14 people, and leaving horrific scenes
of people on fire, and people with lost limbs. Over 40 people were injured.
Orly Ofir was having
lunch with her mother and two
sisters at the Matza restaurant when the blast occurred. Her sister Roni was lightly injured. Although Orly spoke to them
in the ambulance, she died of her wounds shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Orly was a high school student, and played on
the Maccabi Haifa girls' soccer team. Yesterday the head of the team, Shuki Frankel, described Orly as an outstanding player.
Her friends described her as a very special girl, with a lively, cheerful personality.
Orly Ofir was buried in Haifa. She
is survived by her parents, Yossi and Shuli, and her sisters Roni and Ilanit.

There's a growing
debate in the United States on the media bias against Israel.
It seems the rule of thumb is that the more liberal and to the left of the political spectrum
are your views, the more you'll accept Palestinian
terrorism and condemn Israel's retaliatory steps.
One news network that
properly reports on Palestinian barbarism is the Fox News Network
(www.foxnews.com). They
don't hesitate to define Palestinians that deliberately kill unarmed Israeli civilians as "terrorists", contrary
to NPR, the BBC and other leftist news
outlets who prefer the term "militant".
For me a "militant" is
a union official that demonstrates in front of McDonalds for
better wages, not a murderer bastard that kills
unarmed civilians, including babies and kids.
