There are two observations that we can make about this incident - the first is that in choosing to reside in a given land, we also choose to accept the laws under which that land is governed.

As a post-amble, we could say that Islam considers itself - based on undesputable evidence - to be the true religion, as revealed by the Creator - for the whole of humanity, until the last day. As such, in Islam, the Most High has decreed that anyone who talks about Islam (and, therefore, the Almighty) in an impermissible manner, should lose the right to have their life [and consequently, end their test on this Earth]. Only the Creator and Giver of Life has the right to make this decree and give others the right to do so.

So, if a person does not want to be put to death for blasphemy, then they should not commit blasphemy in a land where such an offence carries such a punishment.

Any civilised person - Muslim, Jew, Christian or otherwise - understands these principles and also the principle of avoiding insulting another's faith and way of life, especially when not in one's own land.

So, in Islam, the honour of the Almighty is protected. All praises and thanks are to the Almighty alone.

As Muslims, we believe that this life is not the end of a person's actual life. This life is a test to see if a person will direct all their second-by-second actions to please only the Almighty.

Thus, the test in this life for the "Yemeni" mentioned in the article quoted has come to an end and we believe that he is now preparing for his reckoning in the Unseen.

Extremisn to the ultimate! Something I could see perhaps a gang or an organization like the mafia doing but an entire country! The brain of free people does not work in a way to conceive or accept this type of barbarism. Even in a free world bad things happen even in high courts through mistakes or violation of civil rights. For this to be openly accepted as law and forced upon a people is unacceptable in a world of human dignity. seek for a foreign partner in a country of my choice
where I will transfer this money to and use it for
investment purposes.

I want you to assist me in clearing this box from the
security company and then transfering the fund inside
the box into your account overseas as a beneficiary

any religion which requires the sacrifice of a human life for speaking something different than it's tenets is barbaric. if islam started in th 600's a.d. with the prophet mohammed than i figure as a moral/value system it has evolved to about the point of christianity in the 1600's during the shameful period of the inquisition to purge christianity of non-believing heretics. maybe islam will "mature" as a belief system by the 25th century...except i think by then we will all have destroyed each other by then in our self righteousness for the triumph of the one true faith.
