Spielberg Jewish film archive is now online

I just learned that the Spielberg Jewish film archive is now online:

The Steven Spielberg Jewish Film Archive of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem inaugurated its Virtual Cinema Project where people can watch selected films via the Internet. One hundred and twelve films have already been posted on the archive's Internet site, and over the next four years, approximately 100 additional films will be added annually until over 500 films will be viewable online.

The Spielberg Archive has the world's largest collection of Jewish documentary films, spanning most of the years in which the motion picture medium has existed. The collection includes one-of-a-kind copies of numerous films of historic significance as well some rare footage that could not be viewed previously.

The online titles were divided into subject groups, such as Jewish communities, the Holocaust, pre-state Israel, Israel since statehood, and the Hebrew University. To watch the films, point your browser to the Spielberg Jewish Film Archive at: www.spielbergfilmarchive.org.il

I just watched a movie that brought tears to my eyes that shows footage of Israeli soldiers entering the old city of Jerusalem and celebrating at the Western Wall (Kotel Maaravi). Check out the Spielberg film archive, you'll like it.
