Saudi Arabia cuts off hands of two thieves
The Straits Time from Singapore (http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/) reports that an official court in Saudi Arabia came down with a ruling: the hands of two men guilty of petty theft should be amputated. RIYADH - Two men found guilty of stealing in Saudi Arabia had their right hands amputated yesterday in keeping with Islamic law, the Interior Ministry announced. No matter how many ads the Saudi government buys to improve their image in the U.S., I still think that the above sounds like something coming out of the Middle Ages. Comments
You know what? It works, not like this joke of a judicial system Posted by: JoeH on October 25, 2005 01:40 AMMay I ask: in your opinion, what punishment is suitable for someone who rape your sister or murder your brother or even kill your son with an overdose? You can at least compare the crime rates between the two countries and then you can mention the middle ages. Posted by: Sweet_n_Sour on April 8, 2007 04:39 AMPost a comment
