Arafat and Palestinian Authority wish to wipe Israel off the map
Stefan Sharkansky (http://www.usefulwork.com/shark/) has created an excellent page that shows the official position of the Palestinian Authority regarding Israel's right to exist.
Palestine according to Arafat and the Palestinian Authority
Notice that Israel has been removed from the map
Maps of "Palestine" like this one appear in almost every Palestinian institution as both symbolic logos and as serious attempts at cartography. The funny thing is that these maps include not only what might one day be a Palestinian state, but also all of .... Israel. I've posted a collection of such maps, culled mostly from Palestinian web sites. Take a look and ask yourself what this might tell us about the Palestinians' true aspirations regarding peaceful coexistence with Israel. To see the FactsOfIsrael.com maps page, which outlines the State of Israel, and the West Bank and Gaza, click here. I also copied Stefan's maps below. Maps of "Palestine" The Palestinians seem to be in love with the map of ... "Palestine". The shape of "Palestine" seems to be for the Palestinians what the Union Jack is to the British, the Rising Sun to the Japanese, the Star of David to the Israelis, the Five Rings to the Olympics, the Elephant to the G.O.P, The Fleur de Lys to the French and the Maple Leaf to the Canadians. It's prominently displayed as a symbol by political, religious, social and academic organizations. The funny thing is, that this map of "Palestine" includes all of Israel. Take a look at these maps, gleaned from various websites. Look at these maps. Then go read this recent public opinion poll taken in the West Bank and Gaza, which says that the majority of Palestinians want to eliminate Israel and this poll which says that a majority of Palestinians would reject a peace treaty with Israel unless it included a right of return. Then come back and look at these maps again. What might this tell us about the Palestinians' true aspirations regarding co-existence with Israel? Official Agencies of the Palestinian Authority

This map, from the textbook called "Our Arabic Language for Fifth Grade", accompanies a lesson entitled "Palestine Our Homeland". "Palestine" encompasses all of the State of Israel and specifies numerous Israeli cities: Safed, Acre, Haifa, Tiberias, Nazareth, Bait Shean, Jaffa, Jerusalem and Beer-Sheba. I am an American Christian. I would just like to say that we pray for Israel and the Jewish people all the time. God bless Israel and the Jewish people! Posted by: David on May 15, 2003 04:04 PMI'm an Iranian Australian and a muslim. Just like to say that muslims all around the world should not be compared to the likes of non-muslims such as Bin Laden, or others like himself. These people use religion as a 'back-drop' and safe-guard their interests with it. Hopefully one day, both Jews and Muslims can live in understanding one another. Posted by: Amir on June 8, 2003 10:42 AM"There is no such thing as a Palestinian Arab nation . . . Palestine is a name the Romans gave to Eretz Yisrael(land of israel) with the express purpose of infuriating the Jews . . . . Why should we use the spiteful name meant to humiliate us? please read the link Posted by: kobi on July 7, 2003 04:47 AMit's palstine Arabs and Jews have lived together in peace for tens of thousands of years -- and once in a while someone with problems they want to blame on "others" will start a HATE war. It is time for such people to solve their problems and stop blaming Jews! There are NO "Others" -- "palestinians" and "jews" are the same people. We all are. Posted by: Tom Key on July 9, 2003 06:30 PMI sympathize with the Israeli Jewish person of Israel. For those unfamiliar with their history, they are the remnant of the Khazar tribe of Southern Russia who, after being menaced by both Christians and Muslims, converted to Judaism and vowed to destroy their tormenters using Subtlety and Craft. I pray that someday they will learn Forgiveness (taught by Jesus, the Lord of the Christians as well as a Muslim saint) so that we can all live in peace. Posted by: Lynn on August 31, 2003 04:52 PMDont worry Israel, you have me and my friends that will be on the streets defending you with all our might and faith. Posted by: Sebastian on September 29, 2003 03:24 PMAs an Englishman I first have to apologise for the errors that my nation has made during it's history. That does not however excuse the huge ignorance of large members of the population here who do not know their history and do not realise what injustices the people of Israel have to suffer. Hopefully oneday we will be rid of this Islamic menace, especially that which resides in Britain like an evil cancer being nurtured by the ransid left wingers who have clearly never picked up a history book related to the Middle East in their lives. Good luck to Israel, my thoughts are with you! Posted by: Spike on November 28, 2003 01:54 AMI find it Funny that Bush and some other leaders are putting this purposed peace plan on Israel, Now, I dont know about everyone else, but that does not make people start likeing each other. besides the Arab conquest is Doomed in Israel, They can not win, Cause God is with Israel, And God will bring peace to Israel not Bush. Posted by: Art on December 9, 2003 11:25 AMIm an indian, and so i can understand the pain of terrorism, explained all through this site. We are all children of the One and only God our Father. Why can't we all get along regardless of the path we choose in order to reach Him? Posted by: Reez on February 6, 2004 06:35 PMLynn, what in the world did you smoke to believe that?? Posted by: crach on March 4, 2004 06:10 PMThis is why we must make all the middle east god fearing christians.Christians had never hurt no one in history and anybody against this is against peace Posted by: big dan on March 26, 2004 07:57 PMTo big dan: You are an ignorant imbecile. Of course Christians have harmed others in the name of Christianity. What do you think the Inquisition was all about ? Hitler called himself a Christian. Posted by: Henry on March 30, 2004 10:24 PMWhy dont you all just become Christians and this war would stop? You all look the same how do you know who to shoot? As I look at the t.v I cant tell who is who god bless Posted by: big dan on April 4, 2004 12:01 PMWhile I agree henry about so-called christians harming others in the name of christianity, that really doesn't count when they call themselves christians. they used the banner of christianity for political gains. does that truly coincide with the core of christian belief? no. did God or Jesus ever declare christians to do what hitler did? no. does that really make hitler a righteous christian? no. Posted by: bill on May 6, 2004 03:26 PMYou can not blame any religion for those few whom abuse it. Muslims, Christians, and whatever (even Atheists) have all commited acts of great evil. It is our weaknesses as sinful human beings and the violence will never cease until the 2nd coming of Christ. As with Palestine.. It is simply tough luck. They won't be able to reclaim their country and the rest of the middle east will just have to deal with it. If palestine wanted a nation of their own so much why won't one of their so called friends give them some land to call their own. Islam is false. Posted by: Dictator on October 26, 2004 08:32 AMi am an american christian. I know that the bible (gods perfect word) has been taken out of context and has been used in ways that do not reflect the message of the bible. i think it is sad that there is all this war and killing. i pray that soem day the United States will have the guts to help Isreal and to stand up to people like the UN that would like to destroy isreal just as much as an suicide bomber. Posted by: charles on January 20, 2006 04:40 PMNumerous times in the Old Testament, our Creator, expressly stated the boundries of Israel for the Jewish nation. To Lynn, who said: Wow, Jesus invented forgiveness? That's quite the delusion you have. Jesus WAS Jewish. And his teachings were much like those of the Pharisees of his time. The apostles invented a religion based on him and chose to portray the Pharisees negatively to target non-Jews (known as Gentiles at the time) to join their new religion since actual Jews weren't buying it. We never did, and we still don't buy it. They took a man who was not accepted by the community as a prophet, and made him into not only a prophet but the Messiah. The "new inventions" of Jesus, like God loving us, and love thy neighbor as thyself, were in fact invented by JUDAISM, not christianity, if you actually take some time to read the text. Posted by: Nah on March 7, 2007 12:03 AMDear Nah, Nah, as Eastern Orthodox Crhistian I strongly dissagree with your views of Christianity. The historical information may be difficult to confirm, since the religion started before 2000 years. However, the facts clearly show that the Christianity maintains strong presence in the whole world, as well as its mystic and relevance. In my concept Israel has shown good will, not only in words but in facts too, like in the case of the negotiations with Egypt and Jordan. It's completely clear that it's up to the Arabs to end this conflict. The options were already at the table in more than one opportunity, but the Palestine side choosed to continue with the bombings. Their peacefull words and promises are followed by more terror. Perhaps the terrorist masters in Syria and Iran don't want peace for some (religious?) reasons. Who knows. What's for certain, is that the violence is not an answer for anything. And terrorism that can be linked to Muslims is not something exclusive to Israel.
